Parkway ranked #6 among the largest privately-held, Central Florida based companies for the second year in a row 10.03.2022/Announcements By Cindy Barth – Editor, Orlando Business Journal This week, Orlando Business Journal celebrates the achievements of the 2022 Golden 100, Central Florida’s 100 largest privately held, locally based companies. These firms demonstrate what’s excellent about metro Orlando, while also boosting the region’s economy. Local businesses compete annually to be named one of the Golden 100, based on gross revenue for the most recent year-end. Combined revenue for this year’s Golden 100 was $12.39 billion, up 40.1% from last year’s combined revenue of $8.84 billion. And for the first time in Golden 100 history, three Central Florida firms topped the billion-dollar mark. Here’s the breakdown by industry: A total of 38 firms on OBJ’s 2022 Golden 100 list are professional service businesses. This category with the highest combined revenue at $6.29 billion, led by No. 1 Greenway Automotive, which reported $2.91 billion in 2021 revenue. Thirty-eight construction-related firms made the list, posting the second-largest combined revenue total at $5.49 billion. The category leader is Wharton-Smith Inc., with $662.39 million in revenue last year. The tourism and hospitality industry had seven companies with combined revenue of $1.99 billion, led by No. 2-ranked Westgate Resorts. The firm once again joined the Golden 100’s billion-dollar club by posting $1.32 billion in revenue. Technology, an eight-firm category this year, posted $95.26 million in combined 2021 revenue, led by Advanced IT Concepts with $32.39 million. Seven real estate and development firms made the list, led by No. 6 Parkway Property Investments, which had $331.27 million in revenue. The category’s combined revenue was $973.1 million. The manufacturing category, with one company — Worswick Group Holdings LLC — reported $36.21 million in 2021 revenue. The lone agribusiness firm on this year’s list was IMG Enterprises Inc., with $111.36 million in revenue.
