Houston Office Leasing Brokers Association Honors Parkway with “Deal of the Year” Award

The Houston Office Leasing Brokers Association (HOLBA) honored leaders in the industry at its 24th Landlord Representative of the Year Award ceremony. The event took place at the Houston Country Club on February 9, 2023 and featured HOLBA’s Landlord Representative of the Year, Deal of the Year, and Landlord Representative Rising Star awards.

Rima Soroka and JP Hutcheson with Parkway Property Investments (“Parkway”) won HOLBA’s Deal of the Year award for their work on Bechtel Energy’s 15-year lease at CityWestPlace 3 and 4. The deal resulted in CityWestPlace 3 achieving a 100% lease rate and bringing the CityWestPlace campus to 92% leased.

Originally built by BMC as a corporate campus to lure employees to Texas from Silicon Valley, CityWestPlace features a level of improvements and amenities that represent what is attractive to office tenants in a post-Covid environment. The Property encompasses nearly 1.5 million square feet across a 39-acre site and includes three full-service restaurants, activated outdoor areas, a Starbucks coffee bar, locker rooms, two modern fitness centers, and a full-size basketball court.
