Jim was appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer of Parkway in December 2011 and served as Executive Chairman of the Company just prior to his current role. Jim joined Parkway through a combination with Eola Capital and founded Eola Capital in 2000 and served as chairman since its inception. Eola acquired $1.3 billion of office assets backed by PSP, GE Capital, Lehman Brothers and others that included 13.3 million square feet in Florida, Atlanta and Virginia.

Previously, Jim served as chairman of the executive committee of DASCO, an owner and operator of medical office buildings throughout the United States, from 1999 until its sale to CNL Retirement in 2004 for $241 million. He teamed with Lehman Brothers to acquire and develop 28 properties totaling over 1.4 million square feet with an aggregate cost of $148 million.

In 1989, Jim founded and served as chairman of Associated Capital Properties, Inc., an office and investment company focusing in Florida, where he directed all areas of the company’s operations, including its strategic planning, acquisitions, development and financings, until its sale in 1997 to Highwoods Properties for $622 million. Jim subsequently served as a senior vice president for Highwoods from 1997 to 1999 and as a member of its board of directors from 1998 until 2000.

Prior to founding ACP, Jim served as the president of Major Development Corporation, a subsidiary of Major Realty Corporation, formerly a publicly held, full-service commercial, residential and industrial development company. Jim currently serves on the board of directors of United Legacy Bank in Orlando, Florida and is a member of the chairman’s circle of the real estate advisory board for the Warrington College of Business Administration at the University of Florida.

Jason is currently Executive Vice President & Chief Investment Officer. In his current role, Jason is responsible for handling the Company’s acquisition and disposition activities, including sourcing, underwriting and closing the transactions. Jason is also responsible for the firm’s development activity. Since joining Parkway, Jason has led over $3.5bn of real estate transactions.

Jason joined Parkway Properties in 2011 as Vice President of Investments. Prior to joining Parkway, Jason was Vice President of Finance and Investments for Cogdell Spencer, a publicly traded REIT focused on the healthcare space. During his tenure there, Jason was responsible for its capital markets and M&A activity, joint venture structuring and all capital decisions, including its developments efforts, as part of the Investment Committee.

Prior to joining Cogdell Spencer, Jason was in the Real Estate Investment Banking group at Banc of America Securities. During his tenure there, Jason successfully completed $7.0bn of real estate capital markets activity. This included public and private equity offerings, corporate M&A, portfolio sales and corporate debt transactions.

Jason is an active member in the Urban Land Institute. Additionally, Jason has held various designations, including Broker in the state of North Carolina and LEED Green Associate. Jason graduated Manga Cum Laude from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia.

In his current role as Chief Operating Officer, Jayson is responsible for asset management, leasing, and property management for Parkway’s owned assets, partnerships, and third party relationships.

Jayson joined Parkway in 2001 as an acquisition analyst where he assisted in the analysis of prospective acquisitions. In 2002, he moved to Houston to participate in Parkway's Boot Camp Program, where he managed and leased a building for a year. In 2003, Jayson was reassigned to Parkway's 400 North Belt building where he worked to release one of the most significant vacancies in Parkway's history. In 2004, he was promoted to Regional Manager and moved to North Carolina to run Parkway's Charlotte assets. In 2006, Jayson was promoted to Asset Manager for Parkway's North and South Carolina assets.

Immediately prior to his current role, Jayson served as Senior Vice President and Fund Manager, where managed Parkway’s discretionary investment funds with the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System and the Teacher Retirement System of Texas. Jayson served as liaison to the partners in these funds and worked to identify acquisition opportunities for Parkway’s discretionary investment fund with the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, a fund targeting $750 MM of office investments.

In 2008, he left Parkway briefly to attend the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia. In addition to receiving his MBA, Jayson received the William Michael Shermet Award for academic excellence, the Faculty Award for Academic Excellence, and was elected to the Raven Society. Jayson also received a Bachelor of Science degree from Washington and Lee University in 2001.

Outside of work, Jayson enjoys spending time with his wife Catie and his children, Audrey Cate, Michael and Charlotte.

Scott serves as Parkway’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He joined the company in 2012 as Vice President of Strategy and Administration and was promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer in September 2013. Prior to Parkway, Scott served as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Accounting Officer for Eola Capital LLC, where he was responsible for managing all financial and tax reporting for the company and its joint ventures. Scott’s responsibilities included overseeing risk management, human resources, and information technology.

Prior to joining Eola Capital, Scott was the Director of Finance for Insurance Office of America, the ninth largest private insurance agency in the United States, from 2004 to 2005, where he was responsible for managing all financial and tax reporting for the company and its 12 subsidiaries. From 1998 to 2004, Scott worked in public accounting as a tax manager for primarily middle-market companies, focusing primarily in construction and real estate. He received a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Florida and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
